A New Venture into Fitness Photography

A few weeks ago, I found myself with some extra time and decided to venture into something new: fitness photography. It was the perfect chance to experiment creatively and explore fresh possibilities for the studio, taking my work in an exciting new direction.

Kevin

I started with a collaboration featuring Kevin, a committed gym enthusiast and model looking to update his portfolio. We began by discussing our goals for the shoot—Kevin wanted powerful action shots, while I was eager to experiment with different lighting techniques, including the use of gels. This approach gave us a clear direction and made the session both efficient and rewarding.

 

In the end, this proved to be a great collaboration—Kevin was happy, I was happy, and I think we got some fantastic photos from the shoot.

Lucrezia

Next in the studio we had Lucrezia, a serious fitness enthusiast with an impressive collection of gym clothes—making her an ideal collaborator.

We started the shoot with a discussion about what we both wanted to achieve. Lucrezia was focused on showcasing her physique, and I shared the same goal, but I also wanted to highlight the activewear she was wearing. The result was a mix of strength and style, highlighting both her physique and attire. It was a great collaboration, and I think we captured some fantastic images.

I’m really happy with how these shoots turned out, and going forward, I’ll be taking bookings for fitness photography.
